Explication of Neodivx's Options.

 

Mode: Mode Standard= Simple mode to encode Divx. Expert Mode= Mode where you can select all you want to encode divx. If this is your first divx, please let the option in Standard mode!

Language: For the French, French, for the English, English.

Automaticly cut avi: If you select yes, and if you encode a divx for two cds, Neodivx will automatly cut the divx in two parts, to make you able to record the two part on 2 cds.

CD Size: If you have 650 Mb cd size, select this option. The best will be to select 700 mb, but you must have this kind of cds. More the cd size is great, more the quality will be good..

Erase Temp File: If you select yes, during the encoding, Neodivx will erase directly the temp file used for the conversion. But if you have enough place on your hard disk, say no.

Erase VOB directly after encoding: If you select yes, directly when the image is encode, Neodivx will erase the vob file on your hard disk to keep place. But, if you have a problem in the encoding process, you will have to rip again your dvd to be able to encode. If you don't have enough place on hard disk, say yes. But if you have enough place, says no.

ShutDown: If you select after encode, and you click on encode in Standard mode or in expert mode, Neodivx will try to cut your computer power after the job is done.

If you select After batch command, this will do the same when you click on Batch command.

If you select batch file, when the batch file will be done, Neodivx will try to cut the computer power.

Codec selector: If you select the Codec 3.11, the encoding will be made with this codecs. If you select the Codec 4.0 Beta, the encoding will be made with this codec. But remember. Even if Codec 4.0 has a better encoding format, this is a beta codec. If you want to be sure of the encoding, select 3.11. If you want to try the beta codec, select it.

Encode Vob after Vob: You're better no select this option. This is only there to resolve some synchronisme problems ( look at Synchronisme problem).

AutoDivx: If you place this option set to ON, when a codec dialog will show, Neodivx will place directly the correct bitrate automaticly. If this option is OFF, You will be able to insert by yourself all the codec parameters ( See AutoDivx)

IFO Desactivate: You must select this option only if you don't have the IFO file. For encoding then, look here

AutoSound: This is where you choose the default sound compression for the standard mode. Don't forget that most the sound bitrate is high, most the quality of the movie is low!
